Hello!
My name is Laura Loáiciga, a Creative Strategist and Visual Designer from San Jose, Costa Rica.
I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Industrial Design and a few years later pursued an MBA at California College of the Arts with a focus in Design Strategy.
Throughout my journey, I've had the pleasure of working in various industries, expanding my skills as a designer with a focus in strategy and branding. Drawing from this diverse background, I bring to the table a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking that sets me apart in my field. Since 2017, I've been serving as a design consultant, collaborating with companies across different sectors to crate compelling experiences, develop innovative products, and build strong brands.
My professional career is driven by passion for creativity, collaboration, and leadership. As a creative enthusiast, I thrive on the challenges of developing innovative strategies, conceptualizing ideas, and collaborating with fellow professionals to design experiences and products that enhance our way of life.
If you want to learn more about me or connect, feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile. Thank you for stopping by!
Design drives my professional career but if you want to get to know me better, here's a few facts about me.
• I recently discovered a newfound love for creative writing and launched Exposé, a brand where I explore my creativity through writing and photography. You can find my work on Substack and Instagram (all in Spanish).
• I am passionate about rock climbing, a sport I began practicing in 2017 and have grown to love. I've even traveled abroad to climb in Colombia, Spain, and Mexico, simply because I enjoy it so much.
• I love animals and am completely obsessed with my dog, an 8 year old dog rescued from the streets whose name is Marcelo.
• Baking is one of my passions and an absolute stress reliever. I am also very handy and enjoy other hobbies like sewing, knitting and embroidery.
• I was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica but lived in Savannah, GA for 4 years, Orlando, FL for 1 year, Santa Teresa, CR for 1.5 years and spent most of the pandemic in San Francisco, CA where I pursued my masters.
